Shopify theme development
Theme migrations, custom sections and storefront development, built so the theme can still be updated. You review every change in a preview theme before it goes live.
See CACTi PCs and Creative Lab Amsterdam for two migrations to the Enterprise theme.
In short
We build and change Shopify themes: migrations to Online Store 2.0 themes, custom sections, product pages and content your team edits in the theme editor. Custom code is kept apart from the vendor's code where possible, so theme updates stay manageable.
Who this is for
- Stores moving from an older theme or a page builder
- Teams adding features to a paid theme
- Brands with designs that need building in Shopify
How it works
- 01
Review
Check the current theme, apps and content before recommending a rebuild. Often a smaller change is enough.
- 02
Plan
Agree templates, sections, data and how we'll check each one. Flag where custom code affects theme updates.
- 03
Build
Develop in a preview theme and test the agreed devices, journeys, accessibility and speed.
- 04
Release
Launch with your team, then hand over a record of what was customised and how to update it.

Questions
Can you customise a paid theme?
Yes. We use the theme editor and separate custom sections where possible. Changes to the vendor's code still need merging and testing when the theme updates.
Do we need a complete rebuild?
Not always. We check first whether the current theme can do what you need.
Is accessibility included?
We include accessibility checks in the agreed scope. If you need a specific conformance level or an independent audit, we agree that before work starts.
Tell us what isn't working.
In 20 minutes we look at your store with you and say what we would check first, and whether we are the right team for it.
