Shopify Markets integration

What Shopify Markets can do for your store, where it stops, and how we set it up.
Describe your setup ↗What Shopify Markets is
Shopify Markets is Shopify's built-in tool for selling to several countries from one store: market-specific languages, currencies, prices, domains and product availability.
How Ecom Majesty works with Shopify Markets
We configured market-specific tax and shipping presentation for a Swiss cashmere launch, alongside local payment and shipping (TWINT, Swiss Post). Every market is tested as a buyer in that country would see it, from product page to order confirmation, because one wrong setting shows the wrong price or blocks checkout.
What we configure
- Market groups, domains or subfolders, and languages
- Prices and currency display per market
- Tax and duty presentation agreed with your accountant
- Shipping and payment methods tested for each market
Ways to set it up
Where these projects go wrong
- Prices round oddly after currency conversion.
- A market is enabled but its shipping or payment methods aren't.
- Tax shown inclusive in one market and exclusive in another without anyone deciding it.
- Translated URLs and hreflang are missing, so search engines show the wrong market.
Our experience
We have delivered Shopify Markets work in client Shopify projects. Your setup still gets checked before we quote.

Questions
- Do we need a separate store per country?
- Usually not. Markets handles most multi-country selling from one store. Separate stores make sense when operations or catalogues are genuinely different.
- Who decides tax and duties?
- You and your accountant. We configure the store to match those decisions.
Before we scope the work
- Which data or customer journey needs to connect, and which system owns it?
- What access, plan features or API permissions are available?
- Does an existing connector cover the requirement, including failures and updates?
- Who will maintain the connection, and how will you know it is working?
Send your current setup and one real example of the flow you need. We'll tell you whether it can be done and what it would take.
