Microsoft Azure + Shopify integration

  • Hosting

Connecting Microsoft Azure to Shopify comes down to three decisions: which data moves, which system owns it, and whether an existing connector is enough.

Describe your setup ↗

What Microsoft Azure is

Microsoft Azure is a cloud platform. Companies on Microsoft systems often want Shopify integrations to run inside their own Azure tenant, next to Dynamics, SQL databases or internal services.

How we would approach Microsoft Azure with Shopify

When your systems live in Azure, the integration should too. We build the service that connects Shopify to them inside your tenant, with your identity and network rules, queues for incoming webhooks, retries, and monitoring your IT team can see.

What the work involves

  • The integration hosted in your Azure tenant
  • Webhooks queued before processing
  • Retries, failed-record storage and alerts
  • Access and secrets managed with your identity rules

Ways to connect Microsoft Azure and Shopify

  • Custom build

    Azure Functions or App Service

Event-driven functions or a hosted app, depending on volume and how long jobs run.

Where these projects go wrong

  • The integration hosted outside the tenant, so IT can't support it.
  • Webhook processing without a queue.

Our experience

We haven't delivered a Microsoft Azure project for a client yet. This page is how we would approach one, and we check access and platform limits before quoting.

Questions

Can you work inside our Azure tenant?
Yes, with access your IT team grants. We agree permissions and ownership before building.

Before we scope the work

  • Which data or customer journey needs to connect, and which system owns it?
  • What access, plan features or API permissions are available?
  • Does an existing connector cover the requirement, including failures and updates?
  • Who will maintain the connection, and how will you know it is working?

Send your current setup and one real example of the flow you need. We'll tell you whether it can be done and what it would take.
