Make + Shopify integration

  • Automation

Connecting Make to Shopify comes down to three decisions: which data moves, which system owns it, and whether an existing connector is enough.

Describe your setup ↗

What Make is

Make is a no-code automation platform. Scenarios connect Shopify to spreadsheets, CRMs, messaging and hundreds of other tools.

How we would approach Make with Shopify

Make is often the cheapest way to connect Shopify to another tool. We build scenarios with error handling and alerts, document what each one does, and tell you when a scenario has grown into something that should be custom code.

What the work involves

  • Scenarios built with error handlers and alerts
  • Each scenario documented with its trigger, steps and owner
  • Operation usage estimated against your Make plan
  • A clear point to move to custom code

Ways to connect Make and Shopify

  • Existing app

    Make's Shopify app

Make's Shopify modules for orders, products, customers and webhooks.

  • Built in

    Shopify Flow

For rules inside Shopify, often enough without a third-party tool.

Where these projects go wrong

  • Scenarios without error handling that fail silently.
  • Dozens of undocumented scenarios nobody owns.
  • Operation costs that grow with order volume.

Our experience

We haven't delivered a Make project for a client yet. This page is how we would approach one, and we check access and platform limits before quoting.

Questions

Make or Zapier?
Both connect Shopify to other tools. Make handles complex branching and is often cheaper at volume; Zapier is simpler to start.

Before we scope the work

  • Which data or customer journey needs to connect, and which system owns it?
  • What access, plan features or API permissions are available?
  • Does an existing connector cover the requirement, including failures and updates?
  • Who will maintain the connection, and how will you know it is working?

Send your current setup and one real example of the flow you need. We'll tell you whether it can be done and what it would take.
