inRetrn + Shopify integration
- Returns
Connecting inRetrn to Shopify comes down to three decisions: which data moves, which system owns it, and whether an existing connector is enough.
Describe your setup ↗What inRetrn is
inRetrn is a returns platform used by European retailers. Customers find their order in a portal, choose what to return and get a label; the retailer manages approval, refunds and exchanges.
How we would approach inRetrn with Shopify
Returns cost margin, so the setup should also teach you why things come back. We connect inRetrn to Shopify, check that each return status reaches the order, and set refunds and exchanges so nothing is refunded twice. Then we use return reasons to find product-page fixes, such as size guidance.
What the work involves
- inRetrn connected, with return statuses mirrored to Shopify orders
- Refunds and exchanges set so they happen once
- Return reasons collected in a usable form
- Product-page fixes prioritised from return reasons
Ways to connect inRetrn and Shopify
Where these projects go wrong
- Return statuses that don't reach Shopify, so support can't see them.
- Refunds issued in both systems.
- Return reasons collected but never reviewed.
Our experience
We haven't delivered a inRetrn project for a client yet. This page is how we would approach one, and we check access and platform limits before quoting.
Questions
- Can return reasons improve conversion?
- Yes, often. "Too small" or "not as pictured" points to product-page information that can be fixed.
Before we scope the work
- Which data or customer journey needs to connect, and which system owns it?
- What access, plan features or API permissions are available?
- Does an existing connector cover the requirement, including failures and updates?
- Who will maintain the connection, and how will you know it is working?
Send your current setup and one real example of the flow you need. We'll tell you whether it can be done and what it would take.
