Custom integration
Need Shopify to do something no app handles? Tell us the workflow and we'll tell you whether it needs custom code.
Describe your setup ↗What Custom integration is
A custom integration is code we write to move data between Shopify and another system when no existing connector handles the workflow: an in-house ERP, a supplier feed, a warehouse, or logic that belongs to your business.
How Ecom Majesty builds it
We start with one real record: an order, a product, a stock change. We trace what should happen to it in each system, which system owns each field, and what happens when an update fails. Then we build the smallest service that does that reliably, with retries, alerts and a way to replay failed records, and we include running costs and maintenance in the estimate.
What we build
- One owner per field, written down before code
- Creates, updates, deletes and duplicate events all handled
- Retries, alerts and a way to replay failed records
- Reconciliation reports so mismatches are found, not guessed
Ways to set it up
Where these projects go wrong
- Building custom when a connector would do, and paying to maintain it.
- Webhooks treated as guaranteed, with no handling for missed or repeated events.
- No owner per field, so two systems overwrite each other.
- Failures logged but nobody alerted.
Our experience
Our case studies describe the Shopify development behind each project. We check each new requirement before quoting.

Questions
- How much does a custom integration cost?
- It depends on the systems, volume and failure handling. We map one real record end to end first, then quote a fixed price for the build.
- Who maintains it afterwards?
- Agree it before building. We can maintain it, or hand it over with documentation to your team.
Before we scope the work
- Which data or customer journey needs to connect, and which system owns it?
- What access, plan features or API permissions are available?
- Does an existing connector cover the requirement, including failures and updates?
- Who will maintain the connection, and how will you know it is working?
Send your current setup and one real example of the flow you need. We'll tell you whether it can be done and what it would take.
